Shades of Wood Building As the color peaks I

As the color peaks I have been out photographing around the city and captured this image in Lakewood last week

To photograph this contrast I got a little lower and also found a line in the hardpan to bring your eye into the scene and towards the sunlight

One evening I was thinking of a location for a photograph and this location came to mind

This image was taken on a November morning as I was heading to the Pacific Northwest

On this morning with the difference in temperature between the water and the air steam formed right at sunrise but soon burned off as the sun climbed in the sky

Shades of Wood Building As the color peaks IWhile walking around Valles Caldera National Preserve I spent some time around some of the old homesteads in the area. I focused on the details of the area and this homestead had wood around the front porch. In this image the middle piece of wood is where there is a ninety degree angle. Thus the wood on the right in the frame is facing north, while the wood on the left is facing east. This small difference in direction has lead to the colors to show
