Could be used on Johnson Evinrude V6 outboards 1979 1983 Basically this is the 982416 shaft without the hole provision for hydro mechanical (1978 1981) shift OMC Stringer Drives. At some point in 1984 they switched over the design which looks slightly different than this and that updated design is usually stamped 395209 Overall Good Condition, please see pictures for
