2018 Fogliati Treturne, Barolo DOCG, Italy Domaine du Pegau coffeebean and a topnote ofJust mid ruby. Lifted and earthy with brooding spice notes, it does recall a bit of the spiciness of Bussia (source of the grapes, apparently, but not confirmed). Minerally too. Laser sharp focus on the palate. Not enormously concentrated but elegant and fragrant and with a layer of very fine tannins.
