especially  with the contrasting red hood stinger

I wanted to show the color of the location as well as the activity on the sidewalk including the bicycles

It shows at least one Corvette of each color available in 1967

That advertisement shows an ad for an early GT350 and offers a high contrast background for the red Shelby.
