Initial aromas of pepper and spice give way to sweet Grenache musk with some air, accompanied by a hint of black cherry from the Mataro. A touch of sweet cedar from the oak is present but subtle, as only a small portion is new. The palate is lively, yet retains the traditional plushness and velvety finish from sur lie maturation. This vintage offers a wine with excellent cellaring potential.
